Bronze

Phosphor Bronze is a Copper Tin alloy that contains up to 7% Tin and a small amount of Phosphorus. The addition of Tin increases the corrosion resistance and enhances the strength of the alloy. Moreover, Phosphor Bronze exhibits good wear resistance, as well as thermal and electrical conductivity. Through cold working, it can be hardened to provide excellent spring properties. This ancient alloy, with a history spanning over 4000 years, was used in various applications such as weapons, armour, tools, and jewellery. In modern times, Phosphor Bronze finds extensive use in industries like Marine, Chemical, and Aerospace.”
